The variety of dwelling birth enquiries has jumped since Duchess Catherine declared she was expecting her third child.
The 35-year old royal declared her along with her spouse Prince William – that are already parents to Prince George, four, along with Princess Charlotte, two – were expecting another child and Personal Midwives, the nation’s largest private supplier of home birth providers saw a 44 percent growth in enquiries.
Linda Bryceland, manager of midwifery, quality and security at Personal Midwives, said: “We have seen a definite increase in interest enclosing home births after the Duchess of Cambridge’s statement, together with a number of the services she along with other A-listers utilise getting more easily available and affordable, we are seeing expectant moms being presented with an increasing number of choices. It is now even easier to tailor birthing maintenance and program a journey which matches mothers-to-be.
“And a growth in consciousness, there’s also an increase in specialist career driven girls who at the present economic climate don’t wish to take some time off work for antenatal appointments – their spouses also often struggle to find time off to attend antenatal appointments.”
The study also revealed that nearly a third (29 percentage) of individuals would rather give birth in their dwelling. And if you desired to give birth at a hospital, more than half of these (62 percent) would love to get their baby in a birthing suite, very similar to what the likes of Amal Clooney and Cheryl Tweedy had.
