‘Friends’ called that ‘Black Mirror’ episode years before it happened

“San Junipero” is a sin in more ways than one; the incident recently won several Emmys, and it already stood out since the singular feel-good incident of this gloomy and existential Black Mirror.

However, it turns out the incident idea came decades past, from a Dr. Ross Gellar (David Schwimmer) on Friends.

“From the year 2030, there’ll be computers that may carry out the exact same number of acts as an authentic human mind,” Ross says in the clip, from Season 6, episode 7 (“The One Where Phoebe Runs”). “So, theoretically, you may download your own ideas and memories to this computer and live forever as a system.”

Chandler is doubtful, however Yorkie and Kelly understand the reality.
