Researchers find new car tech can be extremely distracting to drivers

Researchers at the University of Utah stepped to over 30 new cars to measure just how long a motorist spends considering their screens, not the road.

Strayer admits that it is going to be tricky to challenge the tide of touchscreens and characteristics producers are putting in cars, but requires this research to assist people shopping for cars.

“So what we anticipate is that our analysis will be used by clients to help make a fantastic decision about what cars and what technology from your vehicles is perfect for them,” he clarified. We just want those brand new touchscreen games weren’t so much fun to use.
