Software development is another important factor in the future of mobile computing. Software developers are coming up with easier to use software. New applications will definitely be developed but the biggest break through would be with compound applications. These devices will have the ability to receive emails and SMS messages and understand what they are about before changing the personal schedule of the user. The user’s role will be to just check and plan their day.
With the advancement of mobile computing, the way we work will definitely change. Majority of the people will work from home instead of commuting to work. This mobility will help in reducing cost incurred when travelling from one site to another. This change can also be carried in our social life in that users won’t have to venture outside their homes. They can interact with their friends through mobile stations.
One of the risks of this advancement in mobile computing is that the world could be full of animate zombies locked in a room using their mobile devices. The natural interaction of human beings is still important since human beings are social beings.
