Colin Kaepernick has generated waves alongside together with his nationally anthem demonstration, which he began in August 2016–a couple of month later police shot and killed Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, and 2 decades following the Black Lives Issue movement gained nationally attention.
To be clear: Kaepernick’s intention was to protest societal injustice and police brutality. He spoke about it best in a 2016 interview on KTVU, “There is a fantastic deal of things that want to change. One especially is police brutality. There is people being killed unjustly and by no way held answerable. Cops are getting paid leave for murdering people. That is not accurate. That is not appropriate by anybody’s requirements.”
